Funeral services for Herbert Goldsmith, 60, Clarence, were held in St. John's United Church of Christ Dec. 7 with the Rev. Calvin Schumacher officiating. Music was provided by a quartet with Mrs. Robert Hasselbusch at the organ. Burial was in St. John's cemetery.

Pallbearers were Larry Ogden, Robert Laing, Kenneth Ehlers, Jamie Ibsen, Merlin Kreinbring and Leroy Gade. In charge of floral tributes were Mrs. Ralph Rorick and Mrs. Leroy Gade.

He died early Dec. 5 at the Crestview Nursing home, West Branch.

Mr. Goldsmith was born at Clarence, April 20, 1911, the son of Fred L. and Emma Pruess Goldsmith. He was married to Pauline Meyer, Dec. 20, 1935 at Stanwood. He was a mechanic at Thein Motor Co.

Survivors are his wife, 2 daughters, Mrs. Warren (Donna) Wanek, West Branch and Mrs. Donald (Joyce) Hennings, Olin; a son, Harold, Stanwood; 8 grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Mrs. Arthur Ibsen, Clarence and Mrs. John Kreinbring, Chariton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
