Last rites for Leonard A. Petersen, 75, Moline, Ill., a native of Cedar county were held in Davenport Nov. 11 with burial in Van Horne cemetery, Lowden.

Mr. Petersen died in a Moline hospital, Nov. 8 following an extended illness.

Mr. Petersen was born in Cedar county. He married Mabel Wiese in 1915. She died in 1942. He married Ethel Bendsen in Minnesota in 1950.

Mr. Petersen had been a painting contractor in the Quad-Cities.

Survivors are his wife; a son, Vernon, Bennett; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Helen) Corrigan, Maryland; a stepson, Richard Bendsen, Pine Island, Minn.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Alvin (Jean) Schroder, Denver, Colo.; fifteen grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 3 sisters, Mrs. Bertha Mordhorst, Durant; Mrs. Malinda Paul, Wilton, and Mrs. Hulda Pingel, New Liberty.
