Services were held Monday morning for Mrs. C. R. (Josephine) Sheets, 65. Rev. Ray J. Pacha officiated at the services held at St. Mary church.

White Mass was sung by the parish with Sara Ryan as organist. Pallbearers were Russell Willer, Carl Frederick, Walter Kier, Glenn Fear, Gale Gisel and W. A. Barkhurst.

Burial was at St. Mary cemetery, Tipton.

She died unexpectedly at St. Mary church June 24. Rosary was recited Sunday evening at Sheets & Son.

Mrs. Sheets was born Jan. 1, 1906, at Tipton, the daughter of Charles A. and Nellie M. (Broderick) Plank and was a life long resident of the Tipton community.

After graduation from Tipton schools in 1924 she went to Mercy school of nursing in Davenport. She was receptionist at Sheets & Son Funeral home.

She was married to Claire R. Sheets July 25, 1928 at Tipton.

A member of the American Legion Auxiliary, she was also a member of St. Mary church, St. Anne's circle and St. Mary guild.

Survivors include her husband, 3 sons, Robert, Tipton; Wally, Cedar Rapids; Tom, Independence; 8 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mrs. Leonard (Elanor) Dice, Mrs. Mary Jane Modracek and Mrs. John (Margaret) Bender, all of Tipton.
