Services were held June 23 for Mrs. Edith (Edna) Agne, 87, at Sheets and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating. Burial was at Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist. Pallbearers were Don Welty, Douglas Cashman, Keith Bell, Maurice Walton, Jerry Agne and Don Wehde.

She died June 20 at her home after a short illness.

She was born June 17, 1884 in Shippensburg, Pa. She was educated in Pennsylvania and Clarence schools and attended Iowa State Teachers college in Cedar Falls. She married George Agne in 1909 in Chicago. Agne preceded his wife in death.

Mrs. Agne was a school teacher in the Clarence area for several years before her marriage and had been a Tipton resident for the past 31 years.

Survivors include a son, Milo, Stanwood; 3 sisters, Mrs. Bertha Methven, Tipton; Mrs. Henry (Ethel) Cooper, Pasadena, Calif.; Mrs. Mary Phillips, Clarence and several nieces and nephews.
