Addison Felix, youngest child of Robert and Leah Felix, was born at Newville, Cumberland county, Pennsylvania, October 12, 1866. He passed away at his home in Tipton, Iowa, January 25, 1949, being 82 years, 3 months and 17 days of age. Until his death, he was the last surviving member of a family of seven.

He was married to Cora B. Eichelberger March 14, 1889 by Rev. C. D. Rishel, at her home in Pennsylvania. One daughter, Elsie Louisa, was born to them. Elsie is now Mrs. Richard Bree, of Modesto, Cal. Mr. and Mrs. Felix made a home for Anna Eichelberger, a niece, who was orphaned at the age of three weeks. Anna is now Mrs. Thurston Hazlett of Cincinnati, Ohio. Mr. Felix was a kind husband and father, always interested in the best welfare of his family. Mr. and Mrs. Felix were blessed beyond the average in being permitted to live happily together for so near sixty years.

Forty years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Felix came from Pennsylvania to Cedar county, Iowa, where they espied greater opportunities for making a livelihood. They were not disappointed. By persistent industry and good business methods they accumulated a convenient estate for their declining years, and that, too, in spite of some reverses that crossed their path. These forty years were all spent in Cedar county except a few years spent in Colorado and California.

By virtue of his aptitude, Mr. Felix made friends wherever he lived. Accordingly, he will be missed by a host of friends who will remember him for his kindly spirit of friendship and his willingness to be helpful wherever there was need, even to the point of sacrifice.

Funeral services were conducted from the Wilson funeral home Saturday afternoon, Jan. 29th and interment was in the Red Oak cemetery.
