Final rites for Allan Earl Farnum, 30, were held at First United Methodist church Aug. 1 with the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jon Fowler, Tom Sheets, Jerry Murphy, Ron Lekwa, Jim Liercke and Bill Butterbrodt. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist.

Mr. Farnum died at Bishop Carlson hospital, Omaha, Nebr. July 27.

The son of Harold C. and Lucille Wingert Farnum, he was born at Cedar Rapids May 9, 1942 and graduated from Tipton high school in 1960. He attended Coe college.

He was married to Shirley Murray at Tipton June 2, 1963. They lived in Cedar Rapids, Des Moines and had lived in Omaha, Nebr. for 9 months. He worked in the accounting department of Northwestern Bell company. He was a member of the Methodist church.

He is survived by his wife, 2 sons, Christopher Allen and Peter Charles; 2 daughters, Amy Catherine and Kelly Kristine and his mother, Mrs. Clarence (Lucille) Kelly, Iowa City.
