Graveside services for Mrs. Jerome (Maude E.) Wilson, a former resident of Stanwood, were held at the Stanwood cemetery July 28 with Chaplain Miller officiating.

Mrs. Wilson died at the Eastern Star home, Boone, July 26. She had made her home there since 1962.

The daughter of David Warren and Emma Kizer Clark, she was born in Center Township April 4, 1876 and graduated from Tipton high school. She taught in the Stanwood high school from 1900 to 1902.

She was married to Jerome Wilson, a native of Stanwood in 1906. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1956.

In 1948, due to failing health, they moved to Sioux City to be close to their daughter and her family, spending a part of the year with the son and his family at Oconomowoc, Wis.

She is survived by her daughter Mrs. Robert (Beth) Beebe, Sioux City and a son, Burdette, Oconomowac, Wis.; 7 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and a son, Clark.
