Last rites for Mrs. Elizabeth (Ella) Von Behren, 75, were held at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Stanwood Aug. 18 with the Rev. R. M. Muhl officiating. The men's choir sang with Emil Licht, organist. Pallbearers were Harold Von Behren, Paul and Ernest Portewig, Willis McGuire, Arthur Koering, and Carol Moir. Mrs. Fred Luedeman and Mrs. Dean Weede were in charge of flowers. Burial was in the Stanwood cemetery.

Mrs. Von Behren died about 4 p.m. Aug. 15 at her home in Stanwood after a sudden illness.

The daughter of Ernest and Sophia Hulse Huxoll, she was born in Germany March 3, 1889 and came to the United States with her parents when she was 6 years old. She was married to Henry Von Behren at Lowden Feb. 1, 1912. Mrs. Von Behren had lived in the Stanwood community for 50 years.

She is survived by 3 daughters and 2 sons: Mrs. Leonard (Helen) Pritchard of Lawrence, Kans.; Mrs. Ralph (Hildagarde) Wilkinson, Dallas, Texas; Ernest, Mechanicsville; Carl, Nevada and Mrs. Leonard (Ruth) Koppenhaver, Stanwood and 10 grandchildren.
