Bennett, Sept. 2--Jochum Schnack, a resident of Bennett many years and formerly a resident of Davenport, died very suddenly at his home in Bennett yesterday following a stroke of paralysis.

Mr. Schnack was born in Germany, February 21, 1843, and came to the United States and directly to Davenport in 1866. In 1874 he was united in marriage with Miss Margaret Joens. Mr. and Mrs. Schnack celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last winter.

Five children were born to them, all of them still living. They are Mrs. Charles Burmeister, 1311 Brown street, Davenport; Mrs. H. Steffin of Oklahoma, Henry Schnack of Wilton; Otto Schnack and Mrs. Edward Rohlf of Bennett.

The funeral services were held at 2 o'clock from the home in Bennett on Wednesday afternoon. Interment in the Bennett cemetery.
