3 June 1910 - The Lowden News

Fred Riedesel was born in Hanover, Germany, June 4th, 1861, and died May 28th, 1910, at his home in Limerick after about nine months of suffering with rheumatism, being bedfast part of the time, but the past month he was confined to his bed, rheumatism going to his lungs, which caused his death. He has been a kind father and loving husband and a good and true neighbor, loved and respected by all who knew him. He leaves to mourn his demise, his sorrowing widow, four sons and two daughters, his aged father, six brothers and four sisters.

The funeral was held Monday with short services at the house by Rev. Gattermann and then at the German Reformed church at Wheatland. His body was laid to rest in the High German cemetery. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community. Mr. Riedesel was a member of the Woodman lodge, who had charge of the funeral. The floral tributes were many and beautiful. May he rest in peace.
