Funeral services for Albert Hamdorf, 77, were held Jan. 19 at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Stanwood with the Rev. R. M. Muhl officiating. Burial was in Stanwood cemetery with graveside rites by the Hegarty-Busching post of the American Legion.

Pallbearers were Harry Crist, Marvin Rohwedder, Otto Gottchalk, Glen Zerbe, Kenneth Boyle and Louie Luedeman. Mrs. Lyle Raiber and Mrs. Emil Mohr were in charge of flowers. Music was by the men's chorus of St. Paul's church with Emil Licht, organist.

Mr. Hamdorf died Jan. 16 at the Americana Nursing home in Cedar Rapids.

Mr. Hamdorf was born Dec. 12, 1888 in Clinton county, the son of Christian and Christine Lineau Hamdorf. He served in World War I and was a member of Hegarty-Busching post in Stanwood.

He was married to Marie Stoffregen, April 20, 1921 at Arlington. They farmed until retiring to Stanwood. His wife preceded him in death.

They were the parents of 5 children, 3 daughters and 2 sons.

Surviving are his children, Mrs. Fredrick Lehrman, Stanwood; Mrs. Marian McWilliams, Vista, Calif.; Mrs. Carol Kurth, Cedar Rapids; Harlan, Stanwood and Wesley, Hiawatha; 12 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; a brother, Ed of Davenport and a sister, Mrs. Herman Riedesel, Wheatland.
