Maria A. Johnston, 82, died recently at Palos Verdes Estates, Calif., following a lengthy illness.
She was a member of the OES Chapter 1 at Daytona Beach, Fla., where she lived for 30 years. She sang in the choir at Trinity by the Sea church, Daytona Beach. She joined the Lowden Historical Society and was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal church, Maquoketa.
Maria Johnston was a former Lowden resident. Family memorial services will be held at a later date.
