Mrs. Henry Hintz Sr. died Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Kroeger, near Clarence, where the old lady had stayed during the past two months. She was about 84 years old, and died of infirmities of old age, having been weakly for a number of years, she suffered severely with rheumatism this spring, and of late dropsy set in. Funeral will be held today with interment in the Lowden cemetery. We expect to be able to publish her full obituary next week.

Hanna Louise Hintz, nee Albrecht, was born on April 22nd, 1824, at Sulkow, Province Pomerania, Prussia, Germany. She immigrated to America in 1856, and resided for one year in Wisconsin, then came to Davenport, Iowa, where she resided five years, and since 1862 she has resided in and near Lowden. She was married twice, in her first marriage were born to her one son and three daughters, in her second marriage two sons and one daughter; she died on Tuesday, Sept. 2nd, of dropsy at the age of 84 years, four months and eleven days, and leaves to survive her demise her sorrowing husband, two sons, three daughters, two daughters-in-law, three sons-in-law, thirty grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, while besides her first husband, one son and one daughter had preceded her to the better world.

Funeral was held here last Friday with services in the Lutheran church, and interment in the Lowden cemetery. Rev. Brammer conducted the services, and many relatives and friends had assembled to pay their last tribute of respect to the departed. Fride Ihrer Asche.
