Mrs. Neva B. Haase Services Dec. 9

Stanwood - Funeral services were held for Mrs. Neva B. Haase at Chapman's Funeral Home, Clarence, Saturday, Dec. 9 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. James Nelson officiating. Music was provided by Mrs. John Swift with Mrs. Edward Speer organist. Burial was in the Shellsburg cemetery.

Mrs. Haase, the daughter of John and Emma Case Montgomery was born at Shellsburg March 28, 1901. She was married to Oscar Haase at Vinton Dec. 23, 1925.

Mrs. Haase died unexpectedly at her home in Stanwood Dec. 6 of a heart attack. She had lived in Stanwood 23 years.

Surviving are 3 daughters, Leona Mae Haase, Springville; Mrs. Emma Jane Benter, Stanwood; Mrs. Reta Kembel, Clarence; 2 sons, John, Stanwood, and Joe, Cedar Rapids; 2 sisters, Mrs. Leona Freeman, Walker, and Mrs. Mary Bonesteel, Shellsburg, 2 brothers, Frank Montgomery, Shellsburg, and Melvin Montgomery, Clarinda, and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son and a brother, William.
