Former Stanwood Resident Dies at Rock Island

Funeral services for Mary Belle Lerch, 86, of Rock Island, Ill., will be held Thursday, Feb. 16 (today) at Chapman's Funeral home in Clarence at 1:30 p.m. Mrs. Lerch, a former resident of Stanwood, died at her home in Rock Island, Monday.

Mary Belle McAfee was born in Mechanicsville. She married John Lerch in 1900.

She is survived by a daughter, Lydia Lambrecht, Rock Island; two sons, Emil and Bernard, both of Rock Island; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter and a son.

Burial will be in St. John's cemetery in Clarence.
