Last Rites Sept. 6 For Wayne Henry, 62

Final rites for Wayne LeRoy Henry, 62, were held Sept. 5 at the Sheets and Son Funeral home with the Rev. E. H. Lauer officiating. Burial was in the Lowden cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ralph Gruenwald, Fay Wagner, Raymond Spencer, Richard Skladzien, George Cary and Ted Albaugh. Mrs. Wendell Willer was vocalist and Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist. Russell Willer and Charles Paulson were in charge of flowers. Masonic services at the graveside were by Cedar Lodge No. 11, AF & AM.

Mr. Henry died Sept. 2 at Cedar Manor following an illness of several months.

The son of Jay and Josephine Jaeger Henry, he was born at Lowden Dec. 2, 1904 and received his education in the Lowden and Clinton schools. A registered land surveyor, he had been a resident of Tipton since 1924. He was Cedar county zoning administrator and worked in the county engineer's office for many years.

He was married to Martha Jane McCormick May 24, 1937 at Tipton.

During World War II he served as a civilian employee with the army engineers.

He was a member of Cedar Lodge No. 11, AF & AM and the Davenport Consistory, Kaaba Shrine.

He is survived by his wife, a brother, Don Henry, Maquoketa and a nephew and a niece. He was preceded in death by his parents.
