Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Ruchotzke, 73, were held in the Trinity Lutheran church at 2 p.m. June 21, with the Rev. Earl Elowsky conducting. Casket bearers were Kirby Marks, Hilbert Stolte, Alvin Moeller, Fred Sander, Harold Heisch and Gerald Stolte. Music was provided by the men's choir, and organist, Mrs. Lorenz Hoffmeier. Funeral arrangements were made by Chapman Funeral Homes, Inc. and Mrs. Melvin Meier, Mrs. Fred Kahl and Mrs. Otto Benischek provided the flowers.

Mrs. Ruchotzke was born in rural Lowden, March 4, 1902, and died June 19, 1975, in the Clarence Nursing Home. She is survived by her 6 children, Mrs. Fred (Irene) Oetting, Lowden; Mrs. Wilmer Vera) Gehrls, Clarence; Leroy Ruchotzke, Mechanicsville; Wilbert Ruchotzke, Donahue; Wilfred Ruchotzke, Oxford Junction; and Mrs. Willard (Donna)Branch, Davenport; as well as 20 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Also surviving their sister in death, are her 3 brothers, Hugo Stolte, Stanwood; Raymond Stolte, Mechanicsville; Edwin Stolte, West Liberty; and 4 sisters, Mrs. Clara Moeller, Tipton; Mrs. Robert Marks, West Liberty; Mrs. Herb Sander, Lowden; and Mrs. Anna Hensch, Bennett.

She was preceded in death by her husband, August Ruchotzke, to whom she was married Sept. 12, 1922, her parents, Louis Stolte, and the former Helen Lietz, one brother, and one sister. Mrs. Ruchotzke was a lifetime resident of the Clarence-Lowden area.
