Mrs Clarence (Bernice) Wiese, 54, died last Wednesday morning in St Luke hospital, Cedar Rapids following several months illness.

Last rites were held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in Zion United Church of Christ, Lowden. Rev Paul Jordan officiated. Burial was in Van Horne Cemetery south of Lowden.

Hymns were sung by the Muhs brothers. Mrs Walter Helmold was organist.

Serving as pallbearers were Lloyd Siebel, Glen Siebel, Harley Steinke, Norbert Kruckenberg, Howard Kroemer, Frederick Klavemann. Mrs Alma Klavemann and Mrs Walter Hintz were in charge of flowers.

The former Bernice Steinke was born July 24, 1920 in Cedar County to Henry and Selma Siebel Steinke. She married Clarence Wiese March 27, 1940 at Tipton.

Survivors are her husband; a daughter, Mrs Kenneth (Loretta) Johnson of Pekin, Ill.; a son, Raymond of Lowden; four grandchildren and two sisters Mrs. Harvey Lohse, Wheatland and Mrs Elmer Hallmann, Eldridge.

Her parents preceded her in death.
