Mrs Leona Pearl Pancratz, Eldridge, and formerly of Lowden, died Friday, April 4 at Mercy hospital, Davenport, where she had been transferred on Wednesday from St. Luke's hospital. Services were held Monday at 1 p.m. in Faith United Church of Christ, Davenport. Burial was in Lowden cemetery.

Pallbearers were Walter Struck, Robert Dempsey, Gary Hoker, Victor Graden, Fred Postel and David Fairweather. Soloist was Mrs. Mary Renaud and organist, Mrs. Linda Allebach.

Ushers were Ivan Kibbie, Don Andersen, Billy Martens and Clarence Wiese.

Mrs. Pancratz was confirmed at Zion Church, Lowden, and later became a charter member of Sunnymeade E & R church which is now Faith United Church of Christ, Davenport. She served as a choir member, Sunday school teacher, council member, secretary and also president of Women's Fellowship.

She was a graduate of Lowden high school, attended Coe College and Cedar Rapids Business college, and received a B. A. from Mary Crest college, Davenport.

For the past 28 years she was a teacher in the Scott county and North Scott schools. She was serving as 6th grade instructor in Edward White elementary school, Eldridge, at the time of her death.

Leona Pearl Schroeder, daughter of Frank and Helen Ahrens Schroeder, was born Aug. 26, 1911 near Lowden. She married Raymond Alan Pancratz March 8, 1933 in Rock Island, Ill.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Rosemary Francis Rietz, Davenport; 2 sons, Frank Eugene of Eldridge and James Michael of Hinsdale, Ill.,12 grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. F. C. (Esther) Conrad, Bettendorf.

A son, Wesley, a sister, Alice Hennesey, and her parents preceded her in death.
