Mrs. Emma C. Bock Nalley was born in Germany January 8th, 1877, and came to America with her parents, Henry and Henriette Bock, at the age of two years, locating in Cedar county years ago.

She was united in marriage with John P. Nalley October 17th, 1900, and to this union three children were born, Mrs. Ella Findlay of Cedar Rapids, Henry of West Branch, who survive her, and one child who died in infancy.

Mrs. Nalley passed from this life very suddenly Sunday morning, Sept. 5th, at 8:10 o'clock, at the age of 66 years, 6 months and 27 days.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, John P. Nalley, son Henry, and daughter, Mrs. Ella Findlay; three grandchildren, Charlene Findlay, Thomas John Nalley and Joseph Allen Nalley; three brothers, Herman Bock of Mechanicsville, William Bock of Tipton, and Charles Bock of California; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Stout and Mrs. Ella Fell, both of Tipton; other relatives, and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at a funeral home in Tipton at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 7th, with Elder U. J. Fike officiating. Burial was in the Clarence cemetery.
