Mary Elizabeth Drake Betzer, 65, widow of Peter C. Betzer, of 1427 Mt. Vernon road SE, Cedar Rapids, died early Thursday following a long illness. Born in Clarence October 23, 1876, she spent the greater part of her life in Iowa, going from Mechanicsville to Cedar Rapids 22 years ago.

At Clarence in 1903 she was married to Peter C. Betzer, who died in 1925.

She was a member of the Westminster church in Cedar Rapids.

She is survived by a daughter, Hazel G. Betzer of Cedar Rapids; a son, Loren C. Betzer of Cedar Rapids; five brothers, Charles of Clarence, James of Long Beach, Calif., Byron of Tipton, Mo., Glenn of Washington, D. C., and Harold Drake of Lowden.

Funeral services were held in the Turner chapel, Cedar Rapids, at 1 p.m. Saturday, after which the remains were brought to the Clarence cemetery for interment.
