Last rites for Mrs Fred H. Dircks, 75, pioneer Lowden resident, were held Sunday afternoon in the Zion Evangelical and Reformed church, with the Rev. Fred J. Abele officiating. Mrs Dircks had passed away in her home in East Lowden Friday, following an heart attack.
A quartet, composed of Elizabeth Heiner, Lorena Pauls, Hugo Muhs and F. C. Conrad sang "We Findet Die Selle", "Wait on God and Trust Him" and "Abide With Me". Six grandsons, Arthur, Howard and Milo Fisher, Clifford Winter and Wallace and Darrell Dircks served as pallbearers and the granddaughters, Mrs Marie Benning, Mrs Amanda Fankhauser and Vivian Pruess of Clarence and Kathleen Fisher of Lowden, had charge of flowers.
Born July 5, 1861, on a farm southwest of Lowden, the daughter of Mr and Mrs William Richmann, Anna Richmann grew to womanhood accustomed to the hardships of pioneer life.
