Tipton - Funeral services for William E. Barnes, who died May 1, 1951, 75 year old Tipton resident, will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Sheets Funeral parlors in Tipton with burial in the Tipton Masonic Cemetery. The Rev. Leo Wolfe, Pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate.
Mr Barnes was born in Ohio Sept. 17, 1875 and died at the Ralston Nursing home in Tipton on Tuesday. Following the death of his wife on April 17th of this year, Mr Barnes suffered a slight stoke and later a more severe stroke which resulted in his death.
The survivors include 10 children: Harry of Ames; Frank of Salt Lake City, Utah; Elmer and Clarence of Stanwood; Daniel of Urbana; Earl of Cedar Rapids; Mrs Viola Curtis of Cedar Rapids; James of West Hartford, Conn. Thomas of Tipton and Mrs Helen Achey of Venezuela, South America.
