Lillian Mae Hipple, 96, Tipton
Lillian Mae Hipple, 96, of Tipton, died Sunday, June 28, 2009, at Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton from natural causes.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Services will take place Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton, with Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Burial will be at Red Oak Cemetery, Tipton.
Lillian was born May 24, 1913, in Pottawattamie County to Jerry and Anna Schroeder Schlicht. She later graduated from Walnut High School and married John Vernon Hipple on April 29, 1937, in Woodstock, Ill. Lillian was a homemaker and a member of the Tipton Women’s Club, Tipton Senior Center, and was a past member of the Rebekah Lodge. She was a member of the Red Oak Grove Presbyterian Church.
Lillian is survived by her daughter-in-law, Nancy Hipple, of Tipton; grandson Greg (Pat) Hipple, of Solon; granddaughters Debra (Michael) Peterson of Carpentersville, Ill., and Teresa (Jeff) King, of Tipton; and great-grandchildren Janeen and Gary Hipple, Britton Stotler, Alex and Logan Peterson, Zachary and Taylor Doermann, Courtney and Ryan King.
She was preceded in death by her husband and their son, Donald V. Hipple.
