Elsie Lee Miller Regennitter, 90, Atalissa

Elsie Lee Miller Regennitter, the daughter of Simon Leroy and Sara Ellan Tripp Miller, was born Dec. 27, 1918, in Bethany, Mo.

Regennitter died June 28, 2009, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City of congestive heart failure.

Visitation is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton. The Rev. Norman Anderson will officiate.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 2, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Tipton Masonic Cemetery.

Elsie attended school in Bethany while growing up.

On July 24, 1942, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Roy Regennitter in Chillicothe, Mo.

She was a homemaker and a farm wife. Elsie attended the Rochester Methodist Church.

Elsie is survived by her daughter, Joyce (Jim) Dugger of Atalissa, Iowa; sons, Roger (Karen) Regennitter of Tipton, Iowa, Larry (Lesa) Regennitter of West Liberty, Iowa, and Robert (Janet) Regennitter of Atalissa, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Sara Miller; husband, Kenneth Regennitter; daughter, Donna Kimbrell; granddaughter, Renae Dugger; sisters, Violet Long, Goldie Ward, Alma Moore; brothers, Carroll Miller, Lloyd Miller, Orville Miller, and Ivan Miller.

Memorials may be made to the Elsie Regennitter Memorial Fund.
