TERRY WYLLIE OBITUARY
Terry M. Wyllie, 76, of Atlantic, passed away Friday, Aug. 6, 2021, at his residence in Atlantic.
Terry was born Dec. 25, 1944, in Massena, to Clyde and Valda (Goodale) Wyllie. As a child, Terry attended grade school in Bridgewater and then high school at Bridgewater-Fontanelle graduating in the class of 1962. On Oct. 2, 1963, he was united in marriage to Norma Rhodes. On Oct. 5, 1963, he left for Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri for training for the Army. He spent three years in the Army, and 57 years with his wife Norma. Terry and Norma were inseparable and devoted to each other.
Terry was an antique car buff having had many different cars of his own. But out of all cars he owned in the past, the favorite one of all was his 1955 Nomad.
Preceded in Terry's death are his parents, Clyde and Valda; a sister, Bev; and a brother, Burdette.
Terry is survived by his wife, Norma of Atlantic, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with military honors will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11 at the Garner Cemetery just south of Bridgewater.
Open visitation will be held from 4 – 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10 at the Hockenberry Funeral Home in Atlantic.
