Atlantic News Telegraph, Saturday, April 10, 1976, pg. 6:

Funeral services for Manly D. Brown, 60, were held at 2:30 this afternoon at the Long Funeral Home in Anita, with Donald Welborn of the Atlantic Gospel Chapel officiating. Ken and Don Stowell sang "I Know Whom I Have Believed" and "God Understands." Mrs. Ernest Stowell was organist. Casket bearers were Zort Craig, Nathan, Wade and Warren Brown, Roy Guiberson and Dick Lankford. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Fick and Mr. and Mrs. LaRue Anderson were in charge of flowers. Burial was in the Eureka Cemetery south of Adair.
