Memorial Rites for Ruby Rice

A memorial service will be held for Mrs. Ruby sopies Rice, 74, at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at the Atlantic Cemetery.

The Rev. Claude Wood of the United Church of Christ will officiate.

Mrs. Rice died Feb. 28 at Denver, Colo. She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Avery of Steamboat Village, Colo.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Herman Thomsen of Wiota, Mrs. John Fisher of Red Oak and Mrs. Bruce Blake of Atlantic. A brother, Dr. Henry Spies of Boone, died in 1865.

The remains were cremated and the ashes will be interned at the cemetery here.
