Special to the News-Telegraph
WIOTA, Ia., Sept. 19.--Hilyard Vested, a retired farmer living southeast of Wiota, a half mile east of the Norway school house, was found dead in the barnyard at his home early this morning, by Severt Larsen, a neighbor, who had gone to see him on business. Mr. Vested was a victim of heart trouble, and for several days he had not been feeling well. When found, the body was cold and stiff in death, indicating that he had passed away some hours earlier and probably had been stricken last night. Since the death of his wife last winter, Mr. Vested had lived alone on his farm, the land of hwich he had rented out. There are no children nor other close relatives. Deceased was about sixty-five years old.The funeral services will probably be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from the Norway church of which deceased was a member, and interment made in the Norway cemetery beside his wife.
