Mrs. Lena Knapp, 80, Native of Cass, Dies

Mrs. Lena Knapp, 80, wife of the late Louis Knapp and a pioneer resident of Cass county, died at her home 71/2 miles south of Atlantic Sunday morning. Mrs. Knapp had been in her usual health until her death.

She was born Jan. 1, 1874, on the farm where she had lived all of her life, the daughter of John and Theresa Bartsch. She was married at her present home to Mr. Knapp Oct. 26, 1904. Mr. Knapp died Jan. 2, 1944.

Surviving are two sons, Melvin Knapp of Detroit, Mich., and Frank Knapp of Atlantic; a daughter, Mrs. Chester Nettz of Lewis and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Joe Garside and Mrs. H. E. Brown.

Funeral services will be held at the Roland funeral home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, the Rev. A. Breeling of Grant officiating. The remains will be at the funeral home until the service hour and interment will be in Oakwood cemetery at Lewis.

In the matter of Lena A. Knapp, deceased.
To Whom It May Concern:
Notice is hereby given that the undersigned has been appointed and has qualified as an executrix of the estate of Lena A. Knapp, late of Cass County, Iowa, deceased. All persons in any matter indebted to said deceased or her estate will make payment to the undersigned; and those having claims against said deceased or her estate will present them in manner and form as by law re-[?quired.]
