Arlin William “Babe” Moller, 87, of Atlantic died Friday, Sept. 28, 2001 at the Cass County Memorial Hospital.

The son of William F. and Anna Catherine Diedricksen Moller, he was born March 22, 1914 on a farm near Lewis. He grew up in rural Atlantic and helped his parents run a dairy. He married Margaret Smith on Feb. 10, 1937. After their marriage they lived on his parents home place, then moved to Dr. Heer’s farm south of Atlantic in 1944 and then bought a farm near Marne in 1948. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Atlantic Elk’s Lodge #445 and enjoyed coaching girls softball at Marne. They retired to a condo in Atlantic in December of 1979. After retirement he took up golfing and spent winters in Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret; one brother, Ora and wife Della; one sister, Irene and husband Laurence.

Survivors include his two daughters: Marlys Berry and husband Roger of Lewis, and Arlen Wedemeyer and husband Larry of Anita; five grandchildren: Julie Boston and her husband Dean of North Richland Hills, Texas, Jim Berry and wife Dr. Elaine Berry of Lewis, Kim Kopp and husband Delmar of Anita, Brian Wedemeyer and wife Susan of Minden, and Karla Martens and husband Corey of Kechi, Kan., 10 great-grandchildren: Kevin, Rhonda, Teresa Barry, Derek and Tyler Boston, Kara Beth and Nicholas Kopp, Taylor Wedemeyer and Maggie and Sydney Martens; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
