Mrs Anna Day, of Colfax, is in the city called here by the death of her daughter, Miss Bernice Day who passed away yesterday at local hotel.

DAUGHTER OF FORMER CASS FAMILY DEAD

Miss Bernice Day, daughter of Mrs. N. A. Day, former Cass county resident, died at the family home in Iowa City. She will be brought to Atlantic for burial.

The body will arrive in Atlantic this evening. It will be accompanied by the mother. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 at the First Congregational church. The services will be in charge of the local lodge of the Eastern Star order. Burial will be in Atlantic cemetery.

The family formerly lived on the farm just south of the Atlantic cemetery, now occupied by Charles Eichhorn. Mr. Day died in 1905. Five children of the family also are buried here. Following the death of her husband Mrs. Day went to eastern Iowa to make her home.

Before her marriage Mrs. Day was for a number of years engaged in teaching in the schools of Cass county.
