CASS PIONEER DIES SUNDAY AFTERNOON

Mrs. Wm. D. Hedrick, Succumbs to Attack of Flu. Funeral Tomorrow.

Mrs. Matilda D. Hedrick, resident of Cass county for more than a half century, died at her home, 811 Linn street, yesterday afternoon about 4:30. Death followed a lingering illness and was the result of an attack of influenza and complications of a chronic ailment. She was about 63 years of age.

Native of Indiana.

Mrs. Hedrick was born at Winchester, Indiana. When about six years of age she came to Atlantic with her parents who settled on a farm near town.

In 1878 she was united in marriage to Albert Harris. To this union four children were born. Mr. Harris died about seventeen years ago. In 1900 she was married to William Hedrick. She has resided in Atlantic about four years.

Funeral Tomorrow.

Deceased leaves to mourn her death besides her bereaved husband, three sons, Alonzo Harris, Farmington, N. M.; Foy C. Harris, Steel, N. D.; and Clio Smith, Osage, Minn., and one daughter, Mrs Alice McFadden, Marne.

Funeral services will be held at the Christian church at 2:30 tomorrow afternoon. The Rev. Howard officiating. Interment will be in Brighton cemetery north of Marne.
