DEATH ENDS LONG PERIOD OF SUFFERING LOCAL WOMAN

Mrs. S. E. Wallace passes After 12 Years of Invalid Life. Resident of Cass Since 1871.

Death, last night, ended a long period of suffering for Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Fudge Wallace, 107 Cedar Street. The end came peacefully and followed 12 years of invalid life. Death was due to complications following a stroke of paralysis.

Born in Illinois.

The deceased was born in Coles county, Illinois, Feb. 22, 1853. She came to Iowa with her parents who located in Jasper county, in 1854. She had been a resident of Cass county since 1871. On Feb. 12, 1882 she became the bride of Alexander Wallace. Four children were born to this union, who besides the husband are among the survivors.

Funeral Monday.

Those who mourn the passing are: Mrs. E. Taylor, Denver; Harry A. Wallace, Omaha; R. E. Wallace, Atlantic, and Mrs. Homer Gaines, Atlantic, all children; Mrs. Ed. McBride and J. R. Fudge, Monroe, Iowa; J. B. Fudge, Akron, Colo.; and M. S. Fudge, Harlan, J. O. Fudge, Atlantic, Mrs. A. W. Sarsfield, Atlantic, and Mrs. A. T. Smith, Atlantic, brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Monday afternoon at the Congregational church, Rev. Gable will officiate. Interment will be in Brighton cemetery, Marne.
