ANN FORRETTE

The Life Story of ...

Mrs. William (Ann) Forrette, a resident of Storm Lake for nearly 47 years, died at St. Joseph's hospital in Phoenix, Ariz., Thursday morning, March 9.

A Mass of the Resurrection was held Monday at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic church with Fr. Daniel Lynch officiating. A Rosary and wake service was held at the Farber and Otteman funeral home, Saturday and Sunday evenings by the Legion of Mary, The Catholic Daughters of America and Fr. Lynch. Interment took place in St. Mary's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Art Beach, Garry Olson, William Kestel, Eddie Hibbs, George Meyer and Ed Shaw.

In Catholic Organizations

Anna Maher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Maher, was born Dec. 24, 1896 in Atlantic. Her childhood was spent near Massena. She and her parents moved to South Dakota in 1907 and she attended school near Mitchell, S.D.

On June 2, 1926 she was married to Dr. William Forrette. They resided in Dell Rapids until 1931, when they moved to Storm Lake, where they have lived ever since. Anna was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church, Legion of Mary and the Catholic Daughters of America.

She is survived by her husband and several cousins, as well as a host of friends.

Card of Thanks

I wish to express deep and sincere gratitude to our numerous and loyal friends and relatives for their cards, letters, prayers, gifts and concern for my wife Ann during her lengthy illness.

A special thank you to Fr. Daniel Lynch for his prayers and spiritual advice, also to the Presentation Sisters for their many kind thoughts and prayers.

It is with heartfelt appreciation that I wish to thank the ladies of St. Mary's Guild for the excellent luncheon; also for the well wishes and numerous expressions of sympathy extended to me by our friends and the ladies of Olson apartment in putting my apartment in order for my arrival home.

A sincere thank you to those who sent food, spiritual enrollments, Masses and flowers. Your many acts of kindness during this bereavement shall never be forgotten. God bless each and every one.
