Woman Died In
Atlantic Sunday

Time. Funeral Serivce
Held Wednesday

Mrs. Christina Christensen, wife
of Nels P. Christensen, a native of
Denmark and mother of ten chil-
dren, died at 6:20 Sunday morn-
ing at her home in Atlantic. Death
followed a lingering illness.

She was born in Denmark on
May 1, 1869, being a daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew
Krog, Sr. In 1889 Christina Krog
and her brother, Andrew R. Krog,
came from Denmark settling in At-
lantic.

She was married there to Mr.
Christensen on Aug. 16, 1896.
After their marriage, they farmed
in Audubon county until 1926 when
they retired and moved to Atlantic,
living there since.

At one time Mr. and Mrs. Chris-
tensen were quite wealthy and
owned large tracts of land, but
lost their fortune through financial
reverses.

Surviving besides her husband
are nine children Arthur G. Chris-
tensen of Brayton, Ray C. and
Randolph H. Christensen and Mrs.
Herbert Hansen of Atlantic, Mrs.
Martin Krogh of Exira, Lester L.
Christensen of Bayard, Mrs. Hans
Rasmussen of Guthrie Center, Har-
vey Christensen of Kimball, Neb.,
and Mrs. Wilbur Laughery of
Adair; a brother, Andrew R. Krog
of Padroni, Colo.; a sister, Mrs.
Chris Jensen of Windon, Minn.; a
half sister living in Denmark;
thrity grandchildren and one great
grandchild. A son died in infancy.

Funeral services were held Wed-
nesday afternoon at the First
Baptist church in Atlantic with
Rev. J. E. Bruner officiating.
Burial was in the Atlantic cem-
etery.
