PROMINENT FARMER DIES AT HIS HOME

August Ballensiefer, Resident of the County for Thirty years, Died
Last Night at Home Near Wiota.

Ill a Long Time

AUGUST BALLENSIEFER, aged 61, a resident of Cass County for thirty years, died last night at his home just east of Wiota on the White Pole road.
Mr. Ballenseifer had been seriously ill but a week preceding his death. He had been in poor health, however for a year past. He was a sufferer from kidney trouble.
Born in Illinois

Cass County had been the home of Mr. Ballenseifer for more than a quarter of a century. He was born in the state of Illinois. For several years Mr. Ballenseifer had lived on the farm where he died.

A widow and six children survive Mr. Ballenseifer. The children are WILLIAM, EDWARD, HENRY, Mrs. MILT BRUNER, Mrs. ERNEST BURKE and Miss LENA BALLENSIEFER.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 10 o’clock at the Catholic Church in Wiota. Mass will be said by the Rev. Father LALLEY of Casey. The services will be attended by a delegation of Knights of Columbus, of which Mr. Ballenseifer was a member.
