Herbert-Butler Nuptials Held Yesterday

Yesterday afternoon at 3:15 the wedding of Miss Irene Faith Herbert to Dale Bradbury Butler took place at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Herbert of five miles north of Atlantic, the Rev. C. W. Hohansheldt of Bayard, an uncle of the bride, performing the marriage service. About fifty relatives and friends witnessed the ceremony.

Preceding the reading of the marriage lines, Mrs. J. G. Stevenson, aunt of the bride, sang “ I Love You Truly,” and “At Dawning,” accompanied at the piano by Miss Gretchen Stevenson. Lohengren’s Bridal Chorus was played by Miss Ada Herbert, sister of the bride.

The ceremony was performed under a wedding bell which formed the center of a canopy of yellow and white, with a background of ferns and flowers. The yellow and white color scheme was also carried out in the dining room decorations and the luncheon.

The bride wore a dress of white net over satin and carried a bridal bouquet.

Out-of-town guests were the Rev. and Mrs. C. W. Hohansheldt of Bayard, Mrs. E. O. Butler of Dexter, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Herbert of Audubon and Mrs. Melville Herbert and son, J. K. Herbert of Griswold.

Mr. and Mrs Butler will live on a farm in the Buck Creek neighhood [neighborhood].
