WELL KNOWN PEOPLE MARRIED

Walter J. McMahon and Anna C. Shey United in Marriage at Wiota at St. Joseph’s Church at Eight O’clock This Morning.

At eight o’clock this morning occurred a very pretty and impressive wedding when Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Shey gave in marriage their daughter Anna C., to Mr. Walter J. McMahon. Rev. Daniel McAllister celebrated the mass. The bridal party entered the church to the strains of Mendelssohn’s wedding march, played by Miss Ona Malone. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Bertha Shey, while Joseph McMahon, brother of the groom acted as best man. The bride and her maid were handsomely and becomingly gowned in traveling suits of blue serge.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Shey and one of Cass county’s most popular and talented young ladies. She has a most pleasant and amiable disposition which will make her most surely missed in the circle of her many friends and also make her a very worthy partner for the man of her choice. The groom is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs John McMahon. He is a very steady and industrious young man of sterling qualities, and is very well and favorably known by a large circle of friends He is in every way worthy of the lady he has won. After the ceremony the bridal party departed to the home of the groom’s parents, where a three course breakfast was served to the bridal party and a few relatives and the out of town guests.

The out of town guests were Mrs. Martin Ruane and daughter, Miss Margaret, of Atlantic and Chas. E. Eberle of Cumberland.

The bride and groom left on the noon train for a short trip east. They will be at home to their many friends after December 10th and on the groom’s farm, two and one-half miles southeast of Wiota, where he has erected and furnished a new modern home tor the most estimable bride.
