ANITA MAN SERIOUSLY ILL

Wm. H. Stager, well known An-
ita l(m)an, in the employ of the Anita
Bank, is critically ill at his home
in this city, and his condition is such
that alarm is felt for his recovery.
After a thorough examination by the
attending physician, Dr. H. E. Camp-
bell, it was thought that an operation
would be necessary, but at the pres-
ent time, the sick man could not
stand the shock incident to an opera-
tion. Brothers and sisters of Mr.
Stager were summoned yesterday and
are with him Chas. Stager, of Valley
Junction; Mrs. J. H. Schaake, of Mar-
ne; Mrs. Clara Heires of Carroll, Ia.,
F. W. and Edward Stager, of Bray-(ton)
Berger of Carroll, is in California at
the present time, and could not be
reached by wire.--Anita Record.
