RECENT TORNADO CARRIES
POSTAL CARD 200 MILES

Some idea of the force of the re-
cent tornado which swept parts of
Nebraska and Iowa may be gained
by the following taken from the At-
lantic News-Telegraph:

Miss Mamie Findley brought a post
card to this office this morning. The
card was an Easter card and had been
mailed March 19, 1913. It was ad-
dressed to Mr. Clarence Ketner of
Weeping Water, Nebraska. It was
found the day after the recent storm
on the Edward Trailer farm between
Marne and Walnut. It had evidently
been picked up at Weeping Water
and carried on the wind to where it
was found. It bore the marks of hav-
ing been in contact with the elements,
the face of the card being discolored
by the mud.
