Clinton, Iowa, February 3, 1900Refused to Marry
Hugo Heeron, who says that he is a wealthy farmer in Cass County, obtained a warrant in Chicago for the arrest of Gus Kuehl, matrimonial agent, who, he says, obtained $150 from him under promise to obtain for him a wife of youth and extreme beauty. Instead of a girl Heeron says he was shown a widow 40 years of age, who had three children and refused to marry her.
