COON RAPIDS - Funeral services will be held here Saturday for Richard E. Davis, 50, of Coon Rapids who was killed when struck by a pickup truck in Coon Rapids Wednesday night, Feb. 11.

The Rev. Alfred E. Rau, minister of the United Methodist Church, will conduct the 10:30 a.m. rites at the Ohde Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

A son of Alfred and Harriet Smouse Davis, he was born near Coon Rapids and graduated from Coon Rapids High School in 1944. He was a lifelong resident of Coon Rapids and had worked as a linotype operator for the Coon Rapids Enterprise before starting his business in 1970. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion and Odd Fellows Lodge.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Harriet Davis, of the Thomas Rest Haven, Coon Rapids; three sisters, Mrs. Robert Geyer of Tacoma, Wash., Mrs. Robert Jacobsen of Perry and Mrs. Rodney Williams of Texas; three brothers, William Davis of Coon Rapids and Leonard and Alfred Davis of Bellevue, Neb.; nieces and nephews.

His father and two brothers preceded him in death.
