EARLY -- Funeral rites for Chris S. Lambertz, 78, of Early, were held at 10 a.m. Monday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church here, with interment in the parish cemetery.

Mr. Lambertz died Dec. 31 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Des Moines after a long illness.

Surviving are his wife, Helena; two daughters, LuCina of Early and Mrs. James McArthur of Anthon; a son, Clarence, of Wall Lake; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Lang of Manson and Mrs. John Molitor, Lake City; and two brothers, William Lambertz of South Dakota and Frank Lambertz, Carroll.

The Farber and Otteman Funeral Home, Sac City was in charge of arrangements.
