A funeral service for Eunice L. Hass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 7, 1997, at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning. Burial will be in the Manning City Cemetery.

Mrs. Hass, 85, of Manning, died early this morning, April 4, at the Manning Plaza nursing home. Pastor Curt Dwyer will officiate the service.

Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 6, at Ohde Funeral Home in Manning.

Born June 29, 1911, at East Lynne, Mo., she was a daughter of George and Nellie (Harrison) Graham.

As a child, she moved to Iowa with her family, settling in the Rockwell City area. She graduated from Rockwell City High School in 1929. Two years later she moved to Manning and worked for Dr. A. W. Carlile.

She and Herbert Hass were married Dec. 28, 1935, at Fonda, Iowa, and made their home in Manning.

Mrs. Hass began working at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll in 1954 and received her nursing degree from St. Anthony School of Nursing. She worked in Carroll until 1965, and then for a year at Manning Plaza nursing home after it opened in 1968.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Hass is survived by two sons: Paul Hass of Manning and David Hass and his wife, Carmen, of Pico Rivera, Calif.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert, in 1984; and her parents.
