Dewey Ray Witt, 85, of Las Vegas, Nev. and formerly of the Arcadia community, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999, at Columbia Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas. Funeral will be at 11 a. m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, at Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll. Burial will be at the Arcadia Cemetery near Arcadia. The Rev. Carl L. Noble, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church in Arcadia, will preside at the services.

Casket bearers will be Donovan Witt, Preston Will, Sheldon Witt, Wade Will and Ralph Minor. The family will meet with friends from 10 a. m. Wednesday until the time of services.

Mr. Witt was born April 28, 1914, in Carroll to August and Anna (Schluter) Witt. He had spent the last 19 years in the Las Vegas area and was a retired custom printer. Mr. Witt is survived by one brother, Reuben Witt, and his wife, Nina, of Crosby, Minn.; two nieces, Betty Minor and her husband Ralph, of Maxwell, Iowa and Denise Ross and her husband, Louis, of Corvallis, Ore.; and three nephews, Donovan Witt and his wife, Alice, of Las Vegas, Vern Witt and his wife, Merriam, of Winnetka, Calif., and Wade Witt of Whipholt, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Elmer, Theodore and Marlyn Witt.
