Manning- Funeral services for John H. Jurgensen, 79, of Manilla, will be held at the Manilla Lutheran church Saturday, Mar. 22 at 2 o'clock. The Rev. F. C. Israel will officiate. Pallbearers will be: Jen Joens, George Holdsworth, Henry Ewoldt, Peter Carstens, Arthur Drake and John Umland. Burial will be in the Manilla cemetery. Mr. Jurgensen died at St Anthony hospital in Carroll late Wednesday night. He had suffered a broken hip then he slipped and fell on the ice about 16 days ago. The body is resting at the Ohde Funeral home in Manning. Mr. Jurgensen, a retired farmer, had farmed between Manilla and Manning. He was born June 11, 1872. His wife died about five years ago. Survivors include the following children: Albert, at home; Pete, Manilla, and Mrs. Ed Holdsworth, Manilla; a half-brother, Hans Jurgensen, Manning; a half-sister, Mrs. Hilda Tiges, Norfolk, Neb.; a sister, Mrs. Dora Hansen, Alta Vista, Ia.; and Peter Jurgensen, a brother, Dodge City, Minn.
