LAKE CITY - Requiem mass for Mrs. E. Peebles, 80, of Lake City, was held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Lake City with burial in the parish cemetery. Celebrants were Rev. James Fandel, Lake City, and Rev. Paul Arts, LeMars, a grandson of Mrs. Peebles. Honorary pallbearers were Otto Holm, Homer Knight, Ed Hobart, L. W. Sievert, Clifford Owens, and Glenn Hobart. Active pallbearers were W. M. Goodyear, W. G. Meinen, Delbert Anderson, Austin Farley, Dr. L. B. Westendorf, and Robert Moehn.

Mrs. Peebles died January 28 at Shady Oaks Nursing Home in Lake City. She is survived by one daughter, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two brothers, and two sisters.
