DIED AT NINETY-SIX YEARS
From a letter received by C.A. Grant we learn of the death at Springfield, Mo., on the 5th instant, of G.H. Redick, who until about a year or so ago was a resident of Pocahontas county. Mr. Redick was 96 years of age, retained a robust constitution until very late in life. He was the father of C.M. Redick, who was in the abstract business in Pocahontas previous to his removal to Corpus Christi, Texas. The remains of the old gentleman were brought to Manning, Iowa, for interment. The intimacy between the Grant and Redick families is one of long standing, dating back to the days when this country was rather sparsely populated, and has been kept up through all these years.
