Carroll Sentinel - Mar 17, 1893 - The funeral of T.S. Hulett was held Monday at the Methodist church. The deceased was followed to the grave by a long line of sympathizing friends. The bereaved family have the sympathy of all in the great misfortune.
T.S. Hulett was born in Clay county, Indiana on the second day of April 1834. He was married to Sara Jane Fiscus in the year 1856. They were blessed with 10 children, four sons and six daughters, nine of whom survive him, one son having died 9 years ago of peritonitis.
He with his family emigrated to Iowa in 1877 and settled in Audubon county where he lived until the year of 1889, when he moved to Carroll. Last July he was appointed superintendent of the poor farm of Carroll county, where he was living at the time of his death.
Mr Hulett was well known to the citizens of Carroll and he always was regarded as an upright, honorable man honest and conscientious in all his dealings.
